One Sea is an international association for manufacturers, integrators, and operators of automated and autonomous maritime transport systems. We wish to invite companies to participate in advancing the goals of One Sea by joining the association.

Finnpilot Pilotage

Finnpilot Pilotage’s mission is to ensure the safe and smooth flow of maritime traffic. Their work reduces environmental accidents. The company employs over 300 pilotage professionals, who work 24/7 to carry out approximately 25,000 pilotage assignments each year. The company pilots 32% of the ships entering all Finland’s ports from more than one thousand different fairways, working tirelessly to provide the safest, highest quality service to their customers.

Fintraffic Vessel Traffic Services Ltd

Fintraffic Vessel Traffic Services Ltd provides vessel traffic services to merchant shipping and other marine traffic and maintains safety radio operations. Fintraffic Vessel Traffic Services Ltd monitors maritime traffic 24 hours a day, every day of the year. Its mission is to ensure safe and smooth maritime traffic and to protect the marine environment. Fintraffic Vessel Traffic Services Ltd informs vessels about other traffic and matters which affect vessels’ safe navigation, such as weather and ice conditions and defective aids to navigation. It also organizes traffic and gives navigational assistance, when necessary. In addition, it maintains safety radio communications along the Finnish coast as well as distress and safety radio communications in the Saimaa deep water fairway.

Groke Technologies

Founded in October 2019, Groke Technologies provides state-of-the-art situational awareness systems and intelligent information to support decision making and safer vessel operations with reduced burden on crew. While the start-up is headquartered in Finland, it has established strong connections in Japan, where research and investment into autonomous maritime technology is gathering pace. To date, six Japanese companies have invested in Groke: Mitsubishi Corporation, Japan’s largest trading house and a partner of Groke since its founding; Sumitomo Mitsui Finance and Leasing; tanker operators Uyeno Transtech, Tsurumi Sunmarine and Asahi Tanker; and, most recently, tugboat operator Tokyo Kisen. In addition to Japanese investors, Oldendorff Carriers, one of the world’s leading dry bulk owners and operators has also invested in Groke.


Haltian has been providing device manufacturers with world-class product design and engineering services since 2012. Thingsee, the proven IoT technology platform developed by Haltian, enables faster IoT launches for mass-scale deployments. In 2018, Haltian was heralded by research leader Gartner to be a Cool Vendor for its IoT services, and 2019 Haltian became an AWS Advanced Technology Partner as well as AWS IoT competency certified platform partner. Haltian IoT customers include many global operators, such as Lindström and W.L. Gore.


Kongsberg is an international knowledge-based group delivering high-technology systems and solutions. The company works with clients within the oil and gas industry, merchant marine, defence and aerospace. MTI Co., Ltd., a strategic subsidiary of Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha (NYK), takes a key role in the technological research and development field. MTI was established on April 1, 2004, to utilize technologies and the human resources of monohakobi in ways that realize customers’ satisfaction and contribute to the global environment.

Orca AI

Orca AI, intelligent navigation solutions provider headquartered in Tel Aviv, provides a fully automated look-out for the bridge, advancing situational awareness on board and ensuring safe and efficient shipping operations. The company’s AI and computer vision-driven platform also provides fleet managers and operators greater visibility into fleet operations via real-time alerts and identifies risk trends which require action.

Sea Machines Robotics

Sea Machines Robotics is the lead provider of advanced technology for the marine and maritime sector with a product line of autonomous control and navigation systems for commercial boats and ships. With experienced management from marine construction and salvage, offshore oil and gas industries, world class automation engineers, and autonomy scientists; Sea Machines is a first-mover in the emerging space of marine autonomy. Sea Machines’ base is on the historic waterfront of East Boston, MA.
